FindYouJobs uses a standard mutual non-disclosure agreement when an institution evaluates the platform. This page summarizes its main terms. See also our Security & Trust page.

Main terms
| Term | What it says |

| Who it protects | Both parties. Each side's non-public information is protected the same way. |
| What it covers | Non-public financial, research, marketing, customer and product information, anything identified as confidential, and the existence of the discussions. |
| Use | Only to evaluate FindYouJobs through demonstrations, workshops and similar sessions. Any further work needs a separate written agreement. |
| Care | At least the care each party uses for its own highly confidential information, and never less than reasonable care. |
| Sharing | Only with employees and advisors who need to know and are bound to protect it. |
| Required by law | Disclosure is allowed where the law requires it, including public records laws, with prompt notice to the other party first where permitted. |
| Term | Two years. Either party may end it on notice. |
| Confidential for | Five years after disclosure. Trade secrets for as long as they remain trade secrets. |
| Return or destruction | On request, and when the agreement ends, each party returns or destroys the other's information and confirms it in writing. Routine backup copies stay protected and are deleted on request or when no longer needed. |
| Ownership | Each party keeps its own information and pre-existing technology. No license is granted. Feedback on a party's technology belongs to that party. |
| Governing law | New York. |
